Back in 1985, Offshore Marine Contactors (OMC) was established to fill a distinct gap in the market to supply people and vessels to the Oil & Gas industry. After a series of mergers, the company officially became OMC in 1991 expanding services to now offer a full range of rig moving, marine consulting and offshore brokerage services to the global energy sector.
We are based in Aberdeen, Great Yarmouth and Steenwijk supporting clients across Europe and beyond. As one of the world’s oldest rig movers, OMC has excelled in over 6000 marine operations, 4500 of which are jack-up or semi-submersible rig moves making us, without question, the most experienced jack-up rig movers in Europe.
Our sister company Marine Offshore Designers (MOD) are Europe’s leading rig positioning experts. MOD is a long-standing rig positioning specialist delivering a range of expert rig positioning and support services to the energy sector. The team of highly trained offshore surveyors and engineers provide Surface Navigation, Platform Positioning and Acoustic Positioning as well as Offshore Surveying and CAD Drafting support. Working together with OMC and MOD ensures our consistent high standards of practice across your entire scope. We deliver project success every time.
